From BeerFest to Fall: My Summer & Fall 2026 Gigs
What a season it’s been. Between festival stages, casino nights, birthdays, an anniversary and a wedding, the decks barely had time to cool down. Here’s a look back at where the music took me this summer and fall, and a big thank-you to everyone who came out, booked a set, or hit the dance floor.
Where It Started: BeerFest Days
The summer kicked off on June 5 at Edmonton’s International BeerFest Days. This year the festival moved outdoors to Sir Winston Churchill Square for six free, all-ages days (June 4 to 9) of local breweries, food vendors and live entertainment in the heart of downtown (Edmonton Downtown). Spinning in the open air with the city all around was the perfect way to welcome summer.
From there it was on to Pure Casino Yellowhead, with nights on June 27 and July 11 setting the tone for the months ahead.
August: Celebrations
August was all about milestones. On August 9 I played a birthday party at Earl’s, keeping the energy up while friends and family raised a glass to the guest of honour.
Two weeks later, on August 23, I had the honour of soundtracking a 50th anniversary party. Fifty years together deserves a celebration, and it was a joy to play the songs that carried the couple through five decades and watch every generation share the dance floor.
September: Casino Nights and a Wedding
September was the busiest month of the season. I was back behind the decks at Pure Casino Yellowhead on September 5, 12 and 26, bringing the weekend vibe to the Yellowhead crowd.
Right in the middle of it all, on September 10, I had the privilege of DJing a wedding. From the first dance to the last song of the night, being part of a couple’s big day never gets old. Congratulations again to the newlyweds!
October: Into the Fall
October opened with a private birthday party on October 3, an intimate night of good people and great tunes.
Then it was back to Pure Casino Yellowhead for two more nights on October 10 and October 17. Thanks to the staff and everyone who came out to dance and make those nights a blast.
Thank You, Edmonton
From a downtown festival stage to backyard-sized celebrations, every gig this season was a reminder of why I love doing this. Thank you to every host, couple, family and casino guest who shared the night with me.
